Achievement Details

The Department of Sociology is proud to announce that Mr. Helal Uddin, Senior Lecturer, has been appointed as a Visiting Lecturer to the prestigious Erasmus Mundus Master in Public Health in Disasters (EMMPHID) program. This program is jointly coordinated by the University of Oviedo, Spain; Karolinska Institutet, Sweden; and the University of Nicosia, Cyprus.

As part of this appointment, Mr. Uddin will deliver lectures for the module “The Social Components of Risk Prevention and Resilience” during the Common Disaster Core Component Semester at the University of Oviedo (Oviedo, Spain) in Fall 2025.

This recognition is a testament to his dedicated scholarship, teaching excellence, and longstanding academic collaboration with the EMMPHID program.
